I have been downloading and extracting .rar files of mp3 albums. It occurs to me I could save the .rar files onto a cd for backup of the albums? Is this correct?

Yes, you could, just like any other kind of file.

yes you can but you might wanna save it to your hard drive first and re-arrange/edit them before you make the final product:)

Thanks for replies! Please elaborate on what you mean by rearrange and edit, not following that.

really no need to backup the rar files just burn the mp3 folders you want to backup as a data cdr or dvdr and if and when you need them back just drag the folder off the cdr onto you pc
