    Hey guys, I recently had a problem installing Raven Shield... I got a CRC error, blahblahblah. I just installed it, kind of... I ignored the error, then when It said catatrosphic failure, I reset my pc and all the files are there now, but I am missing this one...
    OS: Windows XP 5.1 (Build: 2600)
    CPU: AuthenticAMD Unknown processor @ 2026 MHz with 1023MB RAM
    Video: No Video

    Can't find file for package 'R6SFX_SM'

    History: UObject::SafeLoadError <- UObject::StaticLoadClass <- UEngine::Init <- UGameEngine::Init <- InitEngine

    Does anyone have the game installed on their PC atm? Please help :(

    Last time i had that issue a reinstall fixed that error. I suspect a bigger issue with you having so much trouble installing it originally. Is that the only thing you currently have trouble with. Is the disc scratched perhaps? Also have you applied all patches? How update are your video card drivers? Start with these and let me know if any help.

    Uninstall, Reinstall. It could be as simple as a flaky CDrom drive, or as serious as an unstable system. After you have uninstalled the game and reinstalled it post back here.

    Yeah, I'm with the others on this, this sounds like more or less a CD-ROM issue. If you have an RW Drive try installing it with the CD in that drive.

    I sent a stability tester over AIM to Etai. It apparently it closed when it started the "VGA heating test" so i would imagine there are more underlaying problems then just a diying drive. I dedent notice your other thread Etia you should have mentioned you had prior rom drive problems when i was talking to you about it..

    The DVD-ROM drive from my other thread and this problem are two different drives, not the same ones.

    UPDATE:

    I search UBI's forums and I discovered that the problem was with the disc, disc 2. Apparently, Best Buy had gotten many copies of corrupted discs, with STREAM.SS0 corrupted. They are mailing me a new set of discs. Atleast I didn't reformat my PC again and try other versions of Windows O_O;;
