I have a 2 Gig, 500 something Mbs of memory.
    I'm running Win98 SE.

While I have been cleaning out 'some' programs over the past few months that I don't use anymore, particularly old music editing, recording, mixing software, I'd get a message box that says something about it can't be uninstalled because of a bad RCP Stub.

I use these programs so infrequent that I usually dump them untill I get ready to to the final editing on my songs.
Just a while ago I was installing one of the old progs , from 2001, and it said it can't be installed because of the RCP Stub.

Anyone know what the stub they are talking about?
If you do, could you enlighten me in something less than high-techie talk?
Would anyone know how to fix this stub problem?
I have no idea where to begin to hunt down this problem.

When I had this machine built I originally had XP on it. But I took it back and had 98 SE put on and XP removed. I don't know if that should make any difference being as the progs are all about five to ten years old.

    Thanks for any replies.
