Looks like I got an older Dell computer. Hard drive died, poor old Seagate 40 Gig... second hard drive for this old beast from 2001.. Anyone still use this type of RAM?

I am liking the case, opens like a clam, if it is ATX, I might have fun with my next computer.

    Ha!

I think I have the same computer in a closet in the den. My brother dropped it off 6mos. ago for me to take a look at. RDRAM that tops out at 1gb--not too many options. Anyway, I looked at the time on ebay and the RAM is very cheap, so my guess is nobody wants/needs it. Sometimes old memory can be expensive but I guess not that particular type.

I hate that clam shell case (weighs a ton) but I have to say the inside was very clean. And the one I have looked all original too with no upgrades so I doubt the original owner did any cleaning inside the case--maybe it is a good design. I'll have to take another look at how the case is set up as far as the clam shell design limiting options. I didn't spend much time with the computer other than reloading XP for him if he wanted it back.

Well, so I got a case out of the deal. The clam shell case is really nice. From 2001, has a seperate upper section for hard drives, nice case, just hope it is ATX.

Or I might just toss a spare drive in it, and run the Nix, just for experience. :cool
