Can somebody pls. tell me the reason why the audio for a AVI Video runs @ super fast speed thus making the voice completely inaudible ?

Sounds like a codec issue resulting in the audio being decoded in the wrong bitrate.

Is this happening on all AVI files you play ?

I;ve installed the latest codec files for Vista.
I'm pretty sure it's not Codec files 'coz the video was'nt even running before codec installation, now the video runs but the audio is not working !

As asked above, do all AVI file play this way, or just one certain file? And what are you using to play the file? If using Windows Media Player, I'd strongly suggest trying a different player, WMP isn't the most reliable or 'accurate' player, Try VLC, or install KLite's Mega codec pack (remove your current codec pack first) and use Media Player Classic, it comes bundled with the codec pack.

Sorry but i've got the ONLY one AVI file that i can play...

In any case, i tried your solution but still no AUDIO.

I uninstalled previuos Vista Codec package & installed Klite Mega Codec Pack bit no AUDIO output on Win. media.
The video also does'nt output any sounds on VLC player.

At this point, I'd say it's the way the file has been encoded, or your speakers have been muted or your sound drivers aren't working. If you have sound for everything else, then file is probably faulty. One other option would be to burn it to a CD and try it on a different PC...
