Re: DXT compressed texture ... help please??????

hey yeah im here bc i downlaoded a game called bmw m3 challenge and it downloaded just ine but it keeps saying no texture comprettion suppurt or some thing like that and my video card is VIA/S3G UniChrome IGP so please help!!!

 

You're running on-board video which is notoriously low-end, and the Via/S3 UniChrome video chip is more notoriously low-end and really not suitable for any games that have any need for accelerated and enhanced graphics. If you don't already have DirectX9c you can download it here. You can also try updating your video drivers by choosing your driver from this list of VIA drivers for Windows XP. The Vista drivers are available here. These are links to 32bit drivers, so if you have a 64bit OS, they may not work. Even if you do upgrade DirectX and your video drivers, there's a real good chance that you won't be able to run the game.
