Yesterday I went to forward an email on my hotmail account and found a contact on my list that I did not place there! On top of it all, it was also added to my favorite list. I immediately checked the contact, no other info listed,..just the email address. So I deleted it. I then ran my Norton Antivirus (up to date), and my ad-aware (only have 6-but is updated) Any idea HOW this could have happened,..and what is the significance of it?

If you reply to a message, Outlook Express is set to automatically add that address to your address book. You can change it by going to Tools/Options in Outlook express. Click the Send tab, then uncheck the third box down.

do you use Outlook Express to check your hotmail or do you go to the website? If you go to the website then that is nothing on your computer that would have done that. Either you accidently clicked on something or there was some kind of an error on the server that placed that link in your address book. If you use the hotmail website then I would not worry about it.
