I had a virus and reinstalled. I am running windows XP MCE 2002 SP2. When I reinstalled it left my old documents folder behind. I need some stuff from that folder and I cant access it. I gave my self permission under the security tab. Says that the folder is not accesible. If anyone could help be greatly appriciated. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the feedback here. Im getting an error using the subinacl.exe command.

Here is what I am typing in word for word-
    subinacl /subdirecories c:\documents and settings\jamie\* /grant=Jamie=F

I dont know if im typing it in wrong or not but im coming up with the message
    Error parsing line +subdirecotries c:\documents

That is word for word of what Im typing in and what is coming out. Any help would be great. I have a bunch of my school work and I could really use it. Thank you soo much.

    Well, check your spelling.

I'll assume that was a typo in the post ;)

Try enclosing the c:\documents, etc in quotes.

    So... subinacl /subdirectories "c:\documents and settings\jamie\*" /grant=Jamie=F

I tried enclosing it in the "" and that still gave up the same error. Well I guess that all hope is lost so...I will just have to live with the fact that i am not able to open it. Thanks for the help thought.
