i purchased a computer and it came with winXP sp2 and i don't like the OS.

i want to install my old OS winME.
i have downloaded a program from this site called bassam.zip. it collects drivers into one place.
i have done that and burned them to cd.
i've also downloaded partitioning software from the HDD manufacturers website and partitioned my drive into 4 parts of 20gig each.
other than the drivers what else would i need to install my old OS on my new XP machine? will the drivers collected under XP work with ME?

If you must, i would suggest a dual boot setup with XP, as you could install ME quite easily on one of the 20g partitions, and still keep XP(all you need is your disc).
If you want to 'straight out' change the OS back to ME, you will have to format the drive or partition, and clean install. Dont install over the top of XP!

However i would recommend against going back to ME for reasons mainly in security.
The OS is no longer supported by MS meaning its not possible to receive necessary updates.
Also, ME does not support the latest software protection developments in both antivirus and firewall....both essential to stay safe in todays online experience!
The XP drivers will not work with ME, most likely!

    Regards...
