    Hi,

I'm looking for a bit of help. I've recently picked up a Licosearch/WIN32/Ramnit.b infection infection on my P.C. Having been in major discussions with the malware section in majorGeeks, i've been advised that re-installation is the best option for me.

I'm really not sure how to do this. Any help would be great. I'm currently running Xp...

    cheers

    Donald

Do you have a windows xp cd? If so, boot from the cd and run install. Select advanced mode when prompted so that you'll be able to re-partition and reformat your hard drive.

If you do not have a CD, post the brand and model of computer. Some manufacturers sell restore CDs because people need to replace the hard drive and the manufacturer only had a reinstall partition which would not be accessible if the hard drive died.

Just a question, sorry to highjack... is that also called a "Recovery Disk"?
I was given 3 and never really knew what they were, lol.
