re-installed OS can't get on internet

I recently downgraded my OS from XP to 2000 on one of my PCs. Now I am unable to get on the internet. I went and downloaded all the necessary drivers for my PC from

That's a big log you posted ^^; looks like your network card is set to a private IP address.

You need to find your LAN (Router) IP and DNS addresses and set your network card to use that/those address(es) as DHCP/DNS server. For example = Router address 192.168.0.1 = DHCP server (this is often the DNS server too).

Check the settings of another machine connected to the same LAN/Router.

Sorry, but i'm a novice when it comes to identifying the information you have suggested for me to find. Where would I find this information? Keep in mind that the other operable PCs are operating off XP so finding this information may be a little different from one another.

It's something very minor that's preventing me from accessing the internet. I had originally installed XP on the problem PC and had to put all the drivers on for it to work properly and it was running fine, but now with Win 2000 the same drivers aren't doing the trick.

I forgot to add....I don't want it set to a private IP address. I would like it setup to connect wherever the PC goes (this PC will have a new rightful owner in the near future).
