    Hi all, when I went on to the net yesterday, I was automatically redirected to microsoft update, one of the updates was a patch for microsoft Jet 4.0, could someone tell me what Jet 4.0 is and do I really need it, my OS is windows XP.

    it's a driver for MS Access.. unless you use MS Access, it's not essential.

    And that periodic redirection is normal in IE, you haven't been hijacked or anything.
