In "My Network Places", I still have "e on server", "c on server", but how do I get "s on server" back ?

are you logging into the server (logging into a domain?) or is this a hard map that was setup for you?

just a quick background...our network does not run on the internet...also it only facilitates 2 computers to run the M.Y.O.B. accounting software.
The spot where I have re-mapped the network is where I right click on the "my computer" desktop icon, then i click on "Map Network Drive"...Windows then offers me a drag down list of drive choices from "z:" to "b:"
I would like to go to the "s:" as my drive option, and then I am lost at the folder choice...it offers me 2 choices ..."\\server\C" and "\\Server\E"
but no matter which I choose, I get the Warning Message as follows..
"The mapped network drive could not be created because the following error has occurred:
The network location cannot be reached. For information about network troubleshooting, see Windows help" ...(which, of course, doesn't help me)
    Thanks for your help.

ok, so you are doing hard maps. You don't have to choose from the drop down. You can type in \\Server\S

Have you tried "browsing" your network to see if you can see the server listed?
What operating system are you using?

I'm sorry that I'm so inept at this, however when i try to type in the available box, it automatically opens the drag down box. :(

but you're able to type in it right? what it's doing is autocompleting , essentially pulling up matches that you've typed in the past on the off chance that you're typing the same thing. The other option is to Browse for your server..

You must first unmap the drive.

Then Log to Windows Native Help, enter the term Mapped Drive and it will guide you through the process of remapping.
