What's the motherboard, and are the video, sound, and ethernet onboard or cards?

Aida32 can help you ID your hardware if needed.

hi m8 thanks for quick response. Little bit of a problem trying to find out what mother board & stuff is.Pretty sure everythings on board. Was just trying to get it running to connect to the net..have a router with second comp but no luck with the network connections as wont find anything.Cannot download aida to other comp & to big for floppy=) think it had win 2000 on it at some stage but was formatted before i got it=( bit of a pain i know, thought xp would just find it all..maybe i can copy on to a cd & do it that way.

Well there are other ways to ID the mobo. On the board itself usually there will be a label with the model number, and as you're booting up it should be displayed right before the BIOS info table.

    re: new computer

Hey Rick....as this is windows XP, the USB may be 2.0. XP will need to load the Service pack 1 in order for the O/S to recognize them as 2.0.

okay thanks everyone, all errors gone :) ran that link before accelerator, but when i run the intel acelerator its telling me incompatable hardware. Which seems strange as last night it would load but then say need to load drivers first which ive done? Also how good are the onboard extreme graphics 2 ?
trying to set up a gaming machine, so should i now invest in a vid/card?
    thanks again regards RICK

I don't know about your Intel Accelerator question, but if you're building a gaming machine you're gonna want a good video card, onboard video is typically pretty lame in comparison.
