re-printing a lost screen

I just printed what turned out to be a one time screen/page. I can't get it back, and I need to make another print of it. Is there a print history archive, or a print history cache where I might find this missing screen/page and make another copy of it?

No, there isn't a print cache. Once something is printed, it is deleted from the printer queue.

You write a "page" - is that an Internet/browser page? Maybe you can use the Back key until you get back to that page?

 

Yes, it was an internet page, a FedEx return label. I was supposed to allow it to make two copies but I went through it quickly and missed that part. When I realized the mistake I tried to get it to print another, even refreshing the page a number of times, but the print button had gone dead...probably so it couldn't be misused. Hence my question.

Were you using Internet Explorer? If so (and if you've not done any files cleaning) you may be able to find the page in the Temporary Internet Files cache (Start > Control Panel > Internet Options > Browsing history > View files). Try to open the file in question with IE.

If the file in question is there but will still not allow you to print you might try opening the file with another browser to see if it will let you print.

 

There's always the lower tech solution of photocopying the existing page. Or scanning it and saving it.

Log back on and check your account history. You should be able to open that label again & reprint it. If not, just call FredEx. There's an 800 number...
