Hi Guys, how is everyone, got a problem here with my sons mobile phone, have tried various other forums relating to mobile phones and have had no luck at all, was hoping I could get some help here, his phone is a SGH-A300 Samsung, the LCD screen is damaged and cannot be viewed, the phone is getting old now and not worth fixing so he bought a new one, the problem is that he saved all of his phone numbers to the phone and not to the Sim card, does anyone know if there is a sequence of button pushes that he could do to carry out a transfer of the numbers over to the Sim card, basically and no disrespect meant to anyone, something that a blind man could follow as I will have to work blind, just a sequence as simple as 1. you do this, 2. then you do this, thankyou.

    1. I'm pretty positive that there are machines in stores that allow you to backup numbers onto a second sim card. Try Carphone Warehouse, or The Link.

or, alternatively, 2. Does that model come with a method for access by computer? Some phones that have either an Infrared, Bluetooth can transfer data between the two. There is also the option of buying a cable and software to transfer the data, but models with this feature are slightly less common.

(You can get most data you need from the examples above, any other high street shop, or the manufacturers site on the 'Net)

Hope that was some help :)

Hi SizJam, thanks for the advice, however my sons phone is just about knackered, not worth fixing and certainly not worth buying add-ons for that cannot be used for another phone, the add-ons you suggest cost a lot more than a few £s in fact £24.00 for the cable to connect to the computer, I'm not tight or anything but its just not worth it for a few phone numbers, so I thought that maybe someone might have the same phone and play about with it to find out if it is possible to transfer them over and then give me the instructions, never mind but once again thanks anyway. Oh nearly forgot the sim card as you suggested does not have the phone numbers in it is the phone itself where the numbers are stored and I would like to get them transferred to the sim card.
