re system restore

thanks all for replys. the problem is my wall paper .as in trying to chang it either with the defaults or ne own oics. not the end of the world i no but if i cant do something i cant sleep. am becoming a geek. anyway go to desktop etc click apply on wallpaper and screen just flicks no wallpaper.but if i switch user it work there ok. also picture i choose will show on screen for a few seconds when i log on and log off.ive messed with the graphic setting an all then set them same way as other user. still nothin. hp pavillion xp home ati radeon ex graphics. some one help or its another sleepless night and i think me girlfriend might leave me if i carry on like this, and as much as am falling in love with this compiter lark.....well u cant beat a good ##**
