Hello. When I am inside the Computer Mangement window in Windows 7, I notice I get a pulsing or flashing content in a few panels of the window (the main menu items (on top) and the icons in the row below the main menu, the far left panel's content, and the middle listing of my hardware/drivers list content) that occur every 2 seconds when I click on Device Manager AFTER I have been to Disk Management option of Computer Management. If I click directly on Device Manager when I open the Computer Management window, the panels will not pulsate or flash. The only way to stop the pulsing or flashing panels, is that I have to close the Computer Management window and then re-open the Computer Management window again and directly click on Device Manager.

Why are these panel's content pulsing or flashing in Device Manager? How can I stop this pulsing or flashing if I decide to switch between the different options within Computer Management?

I have never had this before with Windows Vista or XP.

    Please reply.

    Thank you!

    Hello.

Thank you for your prompt reply.

Okay, it seems reasonable that may appear what the issue is -- that there is some probable conflict happening. I have recently installed Windows 7 Pro and I have installed many drivers into the system since.

Is there a way or a means for me to find out which driver or program is causing this issue that your aware of?

    Please reply.

    Thank you!

    Let me add...

Regarding the possible conflicts being displayed in the Device Manager, it is all normal here. There are no tiny yellow triangles or red circles with exclamation marks being shown at any of the hardware components in the list. The list is normal. I even manually expanded each component to see if there were any issues and each one appears normal.

Is it possible that I can STILL have a possble conflict without any of them items in the Device Manager list showing that there is a conflict?

    Please reply.

    Thank you!

    Hello.

I FOUND THE CULPRIT TO THIS ISSUE!!!

It is a Startup Item called Ulead AutoDetector. When it is disabled in Startup and then the system rebooted/restated, this issue will stop when I perfrom as I stated at the beginning at this thread. When enabled, it will cause the pulsating/flashing or blinking issue every 2 seconds in Device Manager.

Weird that some software program can cause issues with Device Manager. Kinda sounds unrelated. Hmmm...

    Well, thanks for your advice.

    Take care. Bye.
