I have also just encountered this lame software and this might help as for running programs and installing or Uninstalling things.

If you right click the program you are trying to open and click "run as..." it will bring a window asking to run as Administrator or current user. If you UNcheck the box below current user saying"Protect my computer and data from unauthorized program activity" then hit OK, the program will open fine. same for installers and uninstallers. the dos menu will flash for a second but it will be bypassed and continue to open.

let me know if it helps a little. :wave

Windows Antivirus Pro 2009 is malware, and once it's on computer, none of the 'admin' stuff matters a whit...it needs to be removed. Best advice is to go to Malware Forum on here, and follow 'Read and Run Me First' Sticky.

This software is not 'lame' at all: it is plain old *bad!*...and anybody who encounters it on their computer has work to do...Best wishes.

I agree it is a very NASTIE piece of spyware that generates nothing but FALSE POSITIVES to suck in naive people to buy it. It will disable your Task Manager and "Regedit" to make it difficult to remove and then start to impair your systems functionality.

Yeah I've been reading about it all over the internet. but I thought I'd help some people out by telling them how to still open programs and install/uninstall things without a reformat. I was also trying my hardest to respond to another thread so i wouldn't have to post this little one. but that didn't work.

If you were trying to post in a malware thread, only authorized malware fighters can do that. You can create your own thread in that forum, but you can not post in others threads.

rofl actually I was trying to post a reply to a thread you are in, "TimW"

And it was to help the other guy your talking to. So i guess this worked a little. tell him if you want him to install those programs your talking about to him to open them with right clicking and going to "run as" and follow the steps I said above.

    "trying to help bro"
