Re: Windows update

    Hi folks, windows update keeps trying to install the following security patch for SP 1: Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework, Version 1.1 Service Pack 1 (KB886903), then it says it cannot install, is this because I already have SP 2 on my system, most annoying as I cannot stop it.

    There are probably other solutions, but you could just uninstall 1.1 net under control panel. Then go to MS downloads and install the net option it selects.

    Uninstall .net framework 1.1.

    Reinstall 1.1 redistributable.
    Reinstall Sp1 redist.
    Install the update.
