My computer is not being kind lately, is it a virus, bacteria, an std, i don't know. it seems to be discovering new ways to confound me on a daily basis. adobe pdf lock it up. right clicking on the desktop locks it up. saying hi to it locks it up. word is now locking up. spybot will no longer download new updates. several things that i have attempted to download don't work properly. it now says it can't find the printer and now the dvd/cd drives. this is getting out of hand can someone please help me. I have run spybot, norton, adaware, windows registry repair pro, all to no avail? several programs i removed through control panel - add/remove option, still appear to be running. i am at my wits end and far beyond my own depth (the shallow end) of knowledge here.

please read my hijack this log and help me out:

Please read the announcement and sticky threads. HJT logs should only be posted when requested and then they must be attachments to your message. In addition, HJT must be installed and run properly per the directions below.

    Please run the steps below.

    - Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ ME FIRST BEFORE ASKING FOR SUPPORT: Basic Spyware, Trojan And Virus Removal

Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.

    - Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.

After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem, boot into normal mode and make sure you follow these directions:

    - Download HijackThis 1.99.1

    - Unzip the hijackthis.exe file to a folder you create named C:\Program Files\HJT

    - Do NOT run Hijack This from the Desktop, a temp folder, or a sub-folder of C:\Documents and Settings, or choose to run it directly from the downloaded ZIP file.

    - Before running HijackThis: You must close each of the following:your web browser, e-mail client, instant messenger, and programs like notepad, wordpad, MS Word etc. And any other unnecessary running programs.

    - Run HijackThis and save your log file.

    - Post your log as an ATTACHMENT to your next message. (Do NOT copy/paste the log into your post).

Please keep all correspondence for your problems in the thread so that everyone may benefit from the steps. You PM indicated you had a problem with Trojan scan online saying IE was out of memory. Since this is not even a required step (it is in the optional section) in the READ ME FIRST, just ignore this and complete the required steps.

Ok, I have completed all the steps from the STICKY READ FIRSTS.

    1) Except for the java removal, when i enter it in and said ok, an error message came up saying "Error in advpack.dll" "missing entry: launch lnfsection"

    2) error message came up "access violation 74E50B09"

    3) it seems most of the time when i go to restart or turn off the computer i get an error report for 'ccApp'

    4) windows update keeps coming up saying unable to install office 2003 service pack 2.

    5) I can not seem to print from Word if I try to print it just locks up the program.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

All I wanted you to do is what is in message number 2 below the "Please run the steps below" statement. Complete everything in that message.
