Read my old files

On my old computer I put my files as private to other users now I cant read them from another computer. Any way possible to gain access?

 

I dont know if this helps but it also says access is denied.

I was running windows xp home on my old account. I accesseed my hard drive from a different computer. Under the user settings I chose to keep my files private to other users. I cannot access my 'owner' folder that contains all of my documents. I did not encrypt my documents just hid them from others...please help.

 

One problem.....I used Find and Mount to find and mount the partition. For some reason and error comes up in safe mode saying that I cant run the program because it cant access the drive.

 

I also found a command called "subinacl" and its for changing ownership of files. I used the subdirectories...setowner command but command said the files were write protected. I think it did that because I used Find and mount partition manager.
