Real Clock Speed

Am I Right if you have a DIMM that says 800 MHz it is telling you Dabble Data Rate.

The Real Clock Speed is 4.MHz and because it puts out and gets Dada at the same time they can Rate it as 800 MHz?

Do I have all of this Right?

 

If you have a DIMM that is 800 MHz, it can process data at 1600MHz because it can process data on both halves of the clock cycle, thus 2 x 800 = 1600.

 

Well I know the DIMM cane give and get Data on the Rise and Fall on every Cycle.

But what I mean is if the DIMM has a Sticker on it that says 800MHz.

I always thought they are giving you what the Dabble Clock Speed is.
And you would take Half of that witch is 400MHz.

And this is the Real Clock Speed???

 

If the RAM is labeled as 800 MHz the memory clock and I/O bus clock will be 800 MHz. However, because it's Double Data Rate (DDR) the transfer rate will be 1600 megatransfers per second (MT/s).
