Really Love Linux

I really liked using Ubuntu for the first time. My geekbench scores are higher with Ubuntu than Windows 7. Kubuntu has the best UI of the distros that I tried. I even installed from a tarball finally. There is still a steep learning curve but Ubuntu seems to be more user-friendly than Windows 7.

 

I do Ubuntu in a VMWare for my purposes. I agree, I like the GUI but don't see the extreme learning curve.

 

i think the learning curve is to do with all the terminal use you see around the web,
its probably a little off-putting for new users, but once you are in the swing of things then you realise its just not essential and most of the time not even needed
