I am urgently after a copy (or download), of an original EPSON reference diskette for a PC ax3/33 portable computer, circa 1992. Luggable weighed 8kgs and yes, EPSON did make computers for a while

I have a diskette but it is scored and will not boot.

Diskette is required to assist a mine in West Africa get going again.

I was there in 92-94 and used the EPSON for Inventory control. They are about to get the mine going again after a 10 year civil war. I am pretty sure that I have info on my old luggable that could assist them, but cannot boot up the reference diskette.

    Hoping you can assist.

PS: Rebels trashed the minesite and all the contents. Mine site needs to identify any Inventory remaining so if I can boot up my old luggable, it should help.

PPS: I have the Epson Italian link, so no need to tell me about this link. Anyone with an old luggable in their possesion, please check for a reference diskette. Bazza

Goes to show google does not find everything. Model is EPSON PC AX3/33 PORTABLE. It is sitting on my lap write now. All 18lbs (7-8kgs) of it. Serial number is 25Z0000038. Looks like they hoped to sell plenty and I have #38. It has the best FULL SIZE keyboard I have ever used, a standard sized 3.5" floppy drive and full size 3.5" hard drive (not 2.5"). Remember this is 1992 when I got mine. Screen is VGA and around 9.5" diagonal. Only 4kb ( not megabytes) of memory as standard. Has internal "D" size batteries in a pack but needs a powerpoint to run. Bazza
PS: PC AX's ranged from AT (80286) to AX3s and AX3/33 (for the luggable). Baz

Went through a lot of the links but over 30000 of them. Refined the search adding model number, etc. Got google down to a reasonable number. Seems ;like the old luggable had lots of owners in Germany and Italy. Damn, don't speak German or Italian. Downloaded the file (in Italian) from www.epson.it and will try it. Someone told me it is possible to figure it out. Bye for now.

PS: Friend/colleague/boss.co-worker is in the air, in the way back to Sierra Leone. Hope to follow him soon. Bazza
