Cool:D that was worth it just for the eyeball scene, filmakers can learn alot from this I think its much freakier seeing a false eye cut in half with a cut throat razor than seeing it all done with CGI.

Begs the question would this movie need an age censor rating in this day and age?

Guess I spoke too soon on the false eye:D

Classic early 20 century film making, and Surrealist Expressionism. In those early days of cinema, film making was seen in more of an art form, and new gee-whiz technology, than a story with entertainment value, (hopefully), as seen nowadays. With new-fangled effects such as double exposure, the over exposure, and stop motion.

I expected anything with Salvatore Dali's involvement to be weird, abstract, and perhaps a little kinky. LOL

Take a look at some of his art, if you haven't already.

We were shown some awful stuff during high school I specifically remember watching a full hour video about cruelty to animals and they showed us a dog tied up by is back legs and being cooked alive by the owner with a massive blow torch,I can see it right now like it was yesterday but I can't remember what the lesson was about:confused

I think I was about 14 at the time stuck with me till this day,I can watch anything in video the only thing that bothers me is seeing children and animals being hurt,I flat out refuse to watch them.

I still remember videos they showed us in driver's ed meant to scare us into being good drivers. They were graphic and horrible enough (dismembered limbs, lots of blood, morgue scenes) when they were about teenagers who tried to drink and drive or drive while high or something... but there was one about people who were killed or horribly maimed in car accidents when they didn't do a single thing wrong. There was one scene where two sisters were in a car and some other car came out of nowhere and hit them, and one sister saved the other's life by putting her arm out in front of her to hold her back against her seat. The arm was cut off by like the windshield or something.

As you can see, I still remember this clearly. I refused to drive for years after I was old enough. I don't think this kind of trauma is necessary in schools. :(

hmmmm....taking drivers ed this summer, hopefully they don't show us that kind of gory stuff

@rikky - whooo... if they showed that kind of stuff at my school the parents would sue the school until it was bankrupt

I hope they don't either, Speculant, for your sake. I think it really did scar me a bit -- I'm always afraid driving, just I manage to swallow it down enough to get places, but I can still get panicky if I stop concentrating. :/ And I'm many years out of high school, at this point.
