RealPlayer alternative for Windows 8.1?

    My laptop runs windows 8.1 64-bit. Browsers: latest Firefox & Chrome.

    I am an audiobook fan and certain websites require a RealPlayer plugin to implement the streaming of their audiobooks. I've held back from installing RealPlayer Cloud because that seems to be an overwhelming program and I probably have no need for all it offers. I'm also trying to save space on my smallish SSD drive.
    Would you be able to suggest an alternative that I could use on my OS to enable the streaming of real player audio files?
