RealPlayer audio convert to mp3

I really like Real Player for downloading UTube videos and would like to take out the audio as mp3. I've used FreeHQ Recorder, but the sample rate is low, so the quality is only fair. Does anyone have a better way - such as a direct convert of Real Player files, or do I have to run them past my soundcard and record from there? Any help will bring you nice karma.

 

I used this program in the past, and later uninstalled it without problems, just insert the youtube page address of the file you want an mp3 for, and with your active internet connection, the program does the rest. (I don't use Real Player or Quick Time). As I recall the bit rate is around 256, but quality depends on the file that was uploaded to the youtube web site. Thanks a million, Bug, but I think I'm going to try the record path through my soundcard. I'm surprised nobody has gone past this stone age methodology, but if it works with a better sample rate, the only thing to bemoan is the time it takes.
I have another question, since you're obviously far ahead of me in tech experience - which is how to convert a very precious VHS movie ('Mishima') onto a DVD - and overriding the anticopy protection?
If this is an illegal question - sorry - otherwise your advice would be nice to hear.
