RealPlayer Recording

Hi,
Realplayer is not downloading the video only the audio. I have reinstalled several times and it won't work. Can someone help me.

Welcome to Majorgeeks dellqueen,

If you try to play a DivX file without the codec installed and the clip's audio is encoded as an MP3 or another supported audio type, the audio will play but the video will not. Only a black screen will appear. After the DivX codec is installed, the video will play correctly.

I have this Codec Pkg installed, works for me.

I'm not really up on Codecs, just know you need them, above is the Standard package and good for most users.

I dont think I explained the problem fully so let me do it now. I have realplayer 11 with the option to download videos from the internet. When I download it and play it back i only get the audio.After deleting and reinstalling realplayer i still get the same problem.

I only saw one solution and that was for OSX on a MAC. Adobe flash had to be uninstalled then Real Player 11 installed then adobe flash installed. I have no idea if this procedure works on a PC because I didn't find much on no video.

What is your Operating System, did you try the Codec Download?

Yes,cat it didnt work. My OS is xp pro
