realtek 97 issues

i had to reload my sons dell dimension 4500S and I got all to come back from the dead except for the realtek audio controller.. I can not get it to reload...everytime I try it gives me a blue screen error that says its protecting windows...any ideas?

Have you tried these drivers from Dell's site, for the Dimension 4500s?

woe! long urls at Dell. The Dimension 4500s has

ADI 1981A (AC97 Codec) sound setup. post back if the Dell drivers above don't work.
