Realtek sound card

    Installled the drivers 4 my realtek soundcard but xp keeeps telling me there are no audio devices installed:major

    Check the bios settings according to your motherboard manual.
    If you have on-board sound, Shut down, remove power lead, remove card.
    Replace power lead, rstart, see if on board sound is recognised.Go to sound (ac97?) and click properties, driver, uninstall driver,shut down and refit sound card.
    Restart, and Windows should find the card, and ask for disc for driver, install driver.
