Reappearing Folders...

    curious if you guys could tell me how to stop the "My Pictures" folder from constantly reappearing in my "My Documents" folder...


    running Windows XP... thanks

    you could try these two things..........


    1. Change the Read Only Attribute of the Folder to none and delete it that way.


    2. This reg hack will remove the folder from being next to the My Doc's folder in the start menu...........


    you will need to create a new Dword value in the two locations below and name them NoSMMyPictures and give them a value of 1 to remove or 0 to being back.

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\
    Explorer

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\
    Explorer
