Reboots after a few minutes when I activate Network card

    My computer will reboot after a few minutes when I activate the network card. If I keep the NIC deactivated, the computer will run fine, but when I acticate it, the computer will just reboot after a few minutes. Also, I have Vonage, and when the the NIC is active, the phone goes nuts! I think something has taken over my internet.

    Any suggestions?

    I have further refined my problem. It appears that the problem comes from the Microsoft Update Kb922582. When the computer tries to do an update with that patch, it just reboots. Does anyone know why this patch crashes my computer?
