Have just installed new motherboard ASUS P5S800-VM with a P4 LGA775 processor. all Powers up OK, but after a second or two reboots - continually.

Even keying del to enter BIOS doesn't help. Can't get into the BIOS at all, as the system immediately reboots.

I have tried putting XP disc in the ROM but to no avail. Could the case power connectors have an effect on this. I have tried all combinations of connecting the power switch connector, but as the colours of the older casing don't match the new motherboard, I can't be 100% sure.

I have tried putting the chipset disc into the ROM drive to force it to read the BIOS, but the system continues to reboot.

Strip it down & start again?

Double check all you connections, add hard drive, minimal ram, vid card if no onboard video. Bootup & see what gives.
