Recent Earthquake Activity.

There have been hundreds of earthquakes from Alaska to Nevada in the last week. Scientists are watching things very closely and are expecting either a major earthquake or volcanic eruption to occur. The Red Cross has already put us on alert to head west if this happens. We'll probably be leaving for Arizona in the next day or two in case something happens.

 

Jeez that is not sounding too good I hope everything goes OK for you and your family and you stay safe and when you return there is no damage to your house......it must be very scary

We don't live there joffa, we're disaster aid workers. Technically home is Kentucky but we travel and live in an RV. We've been in Texas since November helping with Hurricane Harvey relief.

There have been a bunch of earthquakes indeed . . . below link is the US Geological Survey site with maps and info. I had no idea there had been that many in so short a time.

Yeh they are fairly common in Oz also, except rather shallow on the Richter Scale, thank the good lord!

New Zealand seems to have some major earthquakes. I guess the point I was trying to make and discuss is that such frequent and wide spread earthquakes usually man something major is building up. They are considering the possibility of a volcanic eruption because there are usually earthquakes before them.
