Recommend A Good Free Anti-virus Software

What's a good free option for Windows 7 64-bit? I finally got fed up with AVG Free and all its nag / pop-up screens and uninstalled it. Are there any better options? Thanks.

if you are looking for a free anti-virus there is those listed above and also microsoft security essentials which is same technology as windows 10 defender which has dramatically improved quite alot.

 

For no nag try Fortinet Forticlient. It's endpoint software meant to pair with the Fortinet hardware firewall they sell. The web filtering is awesome with this program, and also its signatures are fantastic. F-C just isn't over the counter software. Easy to use, but I have a settings .config file for anyone who would like to take a look. Paired with Comodo Firewall, you have a no nag full coverage setup. This is an all North American setup too for anyone who considers these matters.
