    control panel ---> add/remove programs ---> add/remove windows components

    one of the options is "outlook express" remove the check mark and it will be uninstalled. Then go back and replace the checkmark and it will be installed again.

    Just for grins restart xp between remove/reinstall

    I agree, Thunderbird is good. I'm sure you'll like the program.

    Firefox is a good browser, use to be my default browser, had to put it aside due to it's tendency to hog resources. I now use Opera. It too is a good browser.

    What I have posted here is just my opinion. Others may disagree.

    Also try Thunderbird with the Lightning add-on as it will give you a Outlook like application which covers not only email but calendar functions as well.

    Lightning info and download ( download is under the title Other Lightning Pages )

    Fun to play with and sort of works ok, but almost impossible to get rid of..

    I've been liking Thunderbird very much---I'm trying to increase the font size in the received emails as well as those I compose myself----I find the font choices and sizes pretty limited but ok I suppose--

    How might I download the Lightning add on??

    Late as always! :)

    Anyway, this DOES NOT, remove outlook express.

    This just removes the icon from the start menu. :)

    I'm also a fan of thunderbird! Been using it for a very LONG time. version 3 alpha 1 (20061114).

    Beta for thunderbird 2 is coming soon. :)
