To be clear I have a lot of requirements for this one. I currently have a Mad Catz S.T.R.I.K.E 5 and I want something like it. Specifically it needs these items checked off. If you know of something by all means share.

    1. Backlit (obviously)
    2. Modular with macro buttons
    3. Full keyboard with numpad (no tiny keyboards)
    4. Wrist rests.
    5. A pop-up at the back of the keyboard like the S.T.R.I.K.E 5 and S.T.R.I.K.E 7 both have. this is critical, I do not even want to know about a keyboard if it doesn't have this. Google either keyboard to see what I am talking about, it's the part with extra buttons and a clock etc.
    6. Wired, I do not want wireless in any way, I don't want to mess with batteries or any other nonsense.
    7. Durable (probably the least important as they are all basically made of the same cheap plastic.

The problem with recommending human interface devices (HIDs - mice and keyboards), is everyone has unique hands. What feels great in my hand or at the end of my fingertips may feel uncomfortable, awkward or even painful to you.

Plus, some people like short throw keys, some long. Some silent, some clicky. Some mushy some clicky.

Point is, these are very subjective devices.

You need to visit shops and electronics stores and go play touchy feely with these devices yourself. Try to position them at the same height - in relation to your body – as they will be when at your desk. Remember display models may have been abused so some mechanical functions (buttons, wheels, keys, etc.) may not work properly.

Beyond that, your criteria is pretty extensive. You may do best spending time with Bing Google. But remember, any review can only really comment on features, function and build quality. Only you can determine how it "feels" to you.

A fair point, I forgot to mention it needs to be a full size mechanical keyboard. No soft keys.
