recommendations for burning CD/DVD

I need recommendations for burning
CDs (music/data)
DVDs
Also program for editing videos
Exclude Nero and Roxio because they have more than I need and cause more problems than I need.

 

I recommend CDBurnerXP 3 Pro. Available as a free download right here, from 'The Geeks' in the Data Backup section. There are several good, free CD burning apps in there, check it out. I also recommend an app called 'Burrrn' which is for audio CD's. It will convert std. CD audio to mp3, wav, etc... and will convert the other way too, from mp3 to std. audio. Check the Geek's multimedia section for video editing stuff. Also, the link above has lots of great downloads too... poke around at SnapFiles and see what you find!
