Recommended recording software?

Kind of want to challenge one YouTube member. He posted every mission from the game "Heroes of the Pacific" and did all of them on easiest difficulty, still got shot down more than I did on the hardest difficulty. I want to challenge him to beat me.

However, it looks like it'll be from recording videos and posting them to YouTube. I understand some recording software is designed for various gaming cards, but the laptop I use has Intel 4000 integrated graphics.

Prefer a freeware that is pretty straightforward to use, offers the option to divide the recording into multiple videos (15-min limit on YouTube), and doesn't require a gaming rig. Thanks!

Never used it but I've heard/read good things about CamStudio. There may be better software for a price but it's my understanding that CamStudio is freeware.
