Recommended security/performance apps

    I just installed XP to a fresh hard drive, and I want to make sure I have a solid baseline of drivers, security software, and performance tweaks installed before I start putting programs in. Here's a list of what I have, and if anyone has any further suggestions I'd love to hear them :)

    Security:

    ZoneAlarm free
    AVG Antivirus
    Spybot SD
    AdAware SE
    Javacool Spyware Blaster

    Utility:
    Western Digital diagnostics/ Data Lifeguard (came with drive)
    CacheMan XP (memory manager)

    Browser:
    Firefox
    ==============================


    I'm not an expert, so I don't want to get in over my head, and I am an avid gamer, so I don't want too many things sucking up system resources. Primarily I just want my computer to be as fast as possible while being reasonably safe.

    Am I ok with what I've got or are there other things I should setup before I begin installing software from CD's ?
