Recommended Software

    Hi All,
    I'm about to reinstall Win XP Pro after a recent spyware/malware infection that screwed up several setings. I figured a reinstall would be the best way to go.
    I was hoping ppl would recommend software to install to help protect against such an infection again. I did have a/v software, zonealarm and adaware but still got infected!
    With so much software about these days I was hoping for recommendations. If there are any sites you think will be useful then let me know.

    Hi Fecky :)Operating under the old "belt and suspenders" rule:Trend Micro is a free online scanner that works quickly and well. It comes in handy if you suspect spyware/pests, etc. but nothing is showing on your av or anti-spyware proggies.
