Record phone conversations on my PC?

I would like to be able to record a phone conversation on my PC, as a easily playable file like an MP4 or .WMV or something. Anyone know any software that does this? Especially freeware.

It is legal in this state, and my work and sometimes unscrupulous people make it something I can really use.

 

You got a voip phone?

I don't know of any freeware but I got a trial version of: AV Voice Changer Software Diamond Edition

It lets you make calls on a voip phone and record them, but it also lets you synthesize your voice in real time for some very funny results

Too bad it's $99

I want to do this over a normal landline, I do not use or have VoIP as an option at this time.
