Recording Button Grayed Out

    Friends: I have an audio issue. I am trying to record sound from my PC to Audacity but am unable to do so. When I check properties on my sound card I see RECORDING button is grayed out. I tried to find a driver for Realtek Stereo Mix but failed. Windows XP SP3, (yes, I know it's old...) Can anyone help me? Thank you.

    Does your computer have a microphone built-in, or do you need to plug one in the microphone socket?
