    Hi all,
I am not sure where to put this.

I am after equiprment to record my telephone calls at work. After some complaints, I am needing to record the calls to protect myself. The company are not interested in implementing this.

The phones we use are Nortel T7316 2-line phone.

    Any help or suggestions please

The first thing you better check out is the legality in that, or ,at the very least, the company policy. You may find yourself in more trouble than a few customer complaints.

Yes, with Laura on this. Do not try any such stunt from work premises. Like you said the company is "not interested" the best you can do is document/put on record your concerns to your seniors /HR or whom you deem fit, via e-mail from- both a personal and official ID.

    Cheers,,

As said, first and foremost, check on legality and policies of country/state and company. In my neck of the woods, recording phone conversations is usually legal if the other party is informed and consents to it. But the advice is don't risk it.
If the company is not interested, then it's a pretty good sign than that it's bad idea and may well cause you more trouble than you solve.
Sikviks idea of (written) records and reporting concerns would probably be way safer for you.

    Hi,
    Thank s for the advice,
In the UK it is legal, as long as the other party is made aware and concents. My plan was to inform people when answering the phone.
The reason is currently a customer who did not like the fact she would have to pay to repair her out of warranty device is making up things about the conversation we had. As she is a professional complaints manager. Customer service manager, and knows we did not record the call, she is really going to town on this.
I am looking at possibly loosing my job over this 1 complaint after a 4 year clean record, because she has done her homework and emailed in most of the CEO's, country presidents and 3rd party retailes who sell our products.
I written notes in the company system, but this doesnt seem to count for much :(
The worst part is the company has not supported me 1 bit.
