Recording

I just wanted to ask you guys
I have this wedding tape in dvd structure.
so it's a VIDEO_TS map
When I play it power dvd am I able to record a part of it in real time
I want to show a part of it to a friend who's living in New sea land ( I live in England)
I can't send a 3.5 gb file..
Just feel like recording a part of it with good quality.
are there any simple and good software to do this with?

This is maybe the long way round...very long.

Grab AutoGK. You may be able to speed up the process by using an individual VIDEO_TS.VOB file. The one you want to copy.

That will convert it to an AVI file.

Now install VirtualDub.

If there is no sound all you need is a simple plugin. Let us know if you need it.

VirtualDub will do a rough edit. If you want it exact use Avisynth. It might have got installed with AutoGK.

Avisynth is very easy to use once you have the basics.

Just checked & a program called VirtualDubMod is also included with AutoGK. It is basically the same as VirtualDub. Use VirtualDubMod.

Yell if you need help. Once you have done it one time you will see that it is easy to do.

All the above programs are freeware.

 

I just want to copy a small piece of it.
I mean I just push "play" in Powerdvd, and then what I see I want to record.
Like recording something from the television, like real time.
Are you sure there is no faster solution than this? -.-
