Recover after Infection.

I have recently contracted a bug. It essentially took all the folders on my external and made them vanish, after using the registry to make everything visible. Well now I see the files the are .CAB files but I did not see an extract or repopulate executable. One of the surviving folders called news looks like a shortcut.
Here is a screenshot, please advise to the solution for restoring all my data.Well I do not know how to make the screenshot smaller so I can upload it. I guess I need advice/instructions on that too.

It's fine, the only other thing you could do to show the picture in your post is to put http://in front of the http and at the end.
