Recover and applications/drivers DVD to CD ??

Hi there,

I have a Toshiba Satellite A10 laptop with Win XP Pro that recently crashed after a blue screen (physical memory dump) appearance. Since then I have not been able to reboot my machine..I cannot even get into safe mode!!!
I have a recovery and applications/drivers DVD that came alongwith my laptop. However, my dvd drive ( a combo drive actually) stopped reading dvds a few months ago!! So I cannot use this dvd on the laptop. Is there any equivalent cd (something like Win XP boot CD) that is available or will I be able to convert this DVD to CD somehow?? I called Toshiba support but they could not help me.
I am extremely frustrated and desperately want to recover all the data from my laptop..before I try to rebuild it...
