Recover from formatting a picture card?

Friend accidently formatted their XD Picture card.
Is there a way to recover the photos on the card?

If anyone has a URL or can point me in the right direction for instructions on how to recover it will be much appreciated!!!!

This one is perfect PC Inspector Smart recovery as its specifically for Digital Media cards, I used to use this alot while in the photo industustry, sucessfully recovering images from various cards and tested it quite a abit with my own xD cards.

if just formatted and not used to further store images, you should be quite sucessfull, if they card has been used then it becomes more difficult to recover all the images, you may get some that are none recoverable and some a little corrupted.
