Recovering .dbx files?

Someone I know deleted there EarthLink account out of Outlook Express and had their account turned off. They then setup Verizon as their email account. There is only one identity and the .dbx files are gone from the windows folder. I have tried to use a few different recovery tools from Majorgeeks with no luck. As it is a big hard drive using only ten percent and the files were deleted only around two weeks ago does anyone know of a good way or special program that could recover the .dbx files?

Are you asking to try and recover the earthlink account files? Or the Verizon acount?

 

They deleted Earthlink account and setup Verizon and all of the old emails and wab for Earthlink are gone. They should not be but they are gone. Earthlink is of no help. XP Home.

 

Welll the files have been gone for about a week and half? and The WAB? the windows address book application is gone???
How many user account r on this machine???....

 

Well more like three weeks now and I could do a restore I suppose but that wouldn't restore emails would it? There is only the one user account in this XP home and the one and only wab has no enteries from the old earthlink account.
Sys restore couldn't hurt to try I suppose.

The possiblity of the emails come back up is there if they were saved on the PC...

 

I will keep that link for the future and I am sure I will need it.
I did a system restore to an earlier date just to check and in spite of her sureness that she was using OE she was actually using Earthlink easy access or whatever it was called. Some people.
So she is going to sign back up contingent on her getting back her emails.
